Internet providers in
Cook Sta, MO.

Our recommended starting points:
300 Mbps: a small household streaming, gaming and taking video calls.
500 Mbps: a busy family doing those things at once.
1 Gig: frequent large game downloads or several heavy users.
2+ Gig: usually unnecessary for everyday home use.
These are comfortable plan choices, not minimum requirements. For gaming, low ping and a stable connection matter more than buying the highest speed.

If prices are similar, fiber is usually the better choice for faster uploads—helpful for work calls, cloud backups and sharing large files. Cable can still handle streaming and gaming well and may cost less. Compare each plan’s actual upload speed and total price. Fiber vs. cable guide.

Your monthly bill is the plan price plus equipment charges and applicable taxes or fees, minus discounts you qualify for. Check AutoPay requirements, data overage charges and the rate after the promotion ends. Installation may add a one-time charge. Open “Pricing & offer details” for each provider, then confirm the final total for your address.

Not necessarily. Use the included router or a compatible one you already own that supports your plan’s speed. Large or multi-floor homes with dead spots may benefit from mesh Wi-Fi. Place the router centrally before buying extras. Check whether equipment is included or rented monthly. More on home Wi-Fi.

Order as soon as you know your move-in date so you can reserve installation or allow time for a self-install kit. When switching, test the new service before canceling the old one to avoid downtime. Confirm installation fees, any cancellation charge, and the deadline for returning rented equipment.

Compare the internet-only monthly total, including equipment, at similar speeds. Check the new plan’s price after its promotion, any lost bundle discount, and switching costs. Use our bill comparison tool to enter your current details or upload a bill and compare listed plans. More buying guides.
