Match your speed to your household’s everyday routine.
300 Mbps
Streaming & everyday gaming
Watch shows, play online and take work calls across a few active devices.
500 Mbps
Families & working from home
Kids gaming, someone on a video call and TVs streaming at the same time.
1 Gig
Gamers & busy households
Download big games and updates faster while everyone else streams, works or plays.
2+ Gig
Large, heavy-use households
For several big downloads at once. More than most homes need; compatible equipment required.
Gamers: speed isn’t the whole story. Faster plans help download games. Low ping and a reliable connection matter for online play. Check upload speed for work calls and cameras, too.
About these recommendations
Our plan picks start at 300 Mbps to leave room for simultaneous use. These are practical starting points, not minimum requirements or performance guarantees. Lighter use may need less. 1 Gig = 1,000 Mbps.
For context, Netflix recommends 15 Mbps for one 4K stream. Zoom recommends 3.8 Mbps upload and 3 Mbps download for 1080p calls. Your total needs depend on what runs together.
